this week was fun it was actually raining then it would turn into snow then rain. but the actually funny part of the title is that we were going to go less active finding. we had 3 addresses all close to each other and one of them was a super old lady like 77 years old and we knocked on her fence post. -in romania all the houses have a metal fence of some sort surrounding the house. then i took a rock and knocked on it. all of a sudden a dog comes to the fence then another and another and another. then they just kept coming. this member-sora niță- has 8 dogs and 10 cats! she it the definition of a cat lady! ha! this week was also a cool one because this weeks "subject" is atonement. i learned a lot more about the atonement and how perfect it is. and we also used the atonement as a base for almost all of our lessons. it was super awesome because it is one of the greatest things about the gospel! well looks like i'm staying here in ploiesti for another transfer with my MTC comp! SORA DAHL! were going to make the record for the tallest and shortest companionship! 6 months of ploiesti and counting!! also found this skull randomly on the side of the street! stefi and andreea. finally had a chance to meet up with them, its been almost a whole month! a little party with the branch. we danced some traditional romanian dances. and i cant wait to do them at home!

this week was very sentimental! being with sora dahl at our one year mark was super fun!this week we had a good week! we have a golden investigator names anca! i don't have a picture with her but i will get one! we taught her the word of wisdom and shes keeping it, there was a little rough day but then she was able to start again. and she is a champ she wasn't feeling good but she came to church anyways! and so glad that she came cause more members talked to her! it was so cool all the members can feel her specialness! ohhh yeahhhh! this week i was able to finish reading the BOOK OF MORMON IN ROMANIAN! it was cool when i finished and read 'the end' I felt such a powerful witness that it is the truest book on this earth! and that we can truly become closer to God as we read it! sora wallace sent this for our ONE YEAR MARK!
aveti o saptamana placuta! va iubesc nu mai bine sanatate! cu drag sora lowther i love Romania!!!!!!!!! fun fact of this upcoming week: I HAVE BEEN A MISSIONARY FOR 1 YEAR!!!!!!! so crazy to think that time has flown by that fast! anyways this week was gr8! we went to Bucuresti for our zone conference. and it was everything that i needed to hear! and plus it was a lot of fun to see errbody! like sora smith my old Ploiesti comp! we had an exchange this week and it was super awesome! i was with sora crompton. she taught me to take advantage of every opportunity to share the gospel. it doesn't always have to be in a lesson setting but in any setting! what a good week! its snowed here. i didn't get a pic but those will come don't worry! baby isaac! he is the most scrumptious thing! waiting for the bus! our cute gloves that we got from a Chinese store! shout out to sora dahl and broadbear! this is sora wallace on the left and sora crompton on the right! the best stls!! for p-day today we went to an escape room. it was Egypt themed!!
xoxoxox sora lowther whatzzz up 2019!! this year i have already felt a change in myself! i cut my hair a little bit andddddddddd i wore pantsssssss. i love pants! so a cool humbling experience that i had this week was while we were bloc knocking. which is just us getting into a bloc(like an apartment building but add a touch of communism and a lot of cement) and we went to the top we starting to knock on this persons door, no one answered and then the next one was filled with people yelling, i knocked on the door. ha! then this man in his pajamas opens the door. i started giving my little spill of who we are and then he said " can you speak Romanian." i was speaking Romanian and very clearly too! and he just kept saying that. and i was like "i'm speaking Romanian" in a very slow clear accent. i was a little annoyed with the dude but then this lady who was his wife came and started talking to us, and started sticking up for me explaining that i am probably not from Romania. anyways to get to the point of the story, this lady who is married to a man who is drunk and smokes and is probably not very nice, started talking with us and we were able to have a very good conversation with her. she gave us a lot of hugs. and the end result was just giving her a visitors card. the purpose of me telling you this story is because as we started talking to her i felt that she just needed a break from her life, she needed some calmness, and a little bit of light. we were able to give that to her! and although nothing spectacular happened it was still a really cool moment for me to see that now every time i talk to someone its not pointless if we don't get there number or they are not interested in hearing more about our message, its about the spirit we bring into there lives and maybe one day they will look back on that experience and i will be a help to them some how. no effort is wasted! the marculescu family! this thing is the best thing ever! all the old ladies use it for their groceries! and i got it for a white elephant gift for our zone conference tomorrow! la multi ani
un ani nou fericit! |
