this week was just like all the other ones full of missionary work! we talked to some super cool people and we visited some members and had 4 people at church(!!!) honestly nothing spectacular happened this week besides the mini miracles that pop outta nowhere, like this one member sora ionescu! shes an amazing gospel teacher. like shes top notch. and her son alex is like 30 years old with a disability. he is my fav! we went over to there house this week and (she hasn't been to church in a really long time) and we have been over just to help grown her faith and have the desire to come back and she said she was going to come to the activity that we were going to have that night we visited her and she came!!!!!!!! and then at the activity she said "ne vedem la biserica dumincia!" (see you at church on Sunday) the best words i have heard! it's honestly the greatest joy to see members come back to church more than it is to have our investigators come. okay both are great but it just warms my heart just a little bit more when members come!!! head massage unicorns dopest view!

I HIT MY NINE MONTH MARK THIS LAST WEEK! it was for sure a weird moment to think about how much i have grown these past nine months but honestly i love it . i love being a missionary. i would serve for 10 years if i could! i love everything that i do, and i am so grateful that i decided to go because it has shaped my future life into a real good one, and i know that i have a while to go but i'm so excited to just seize the day! and attack every moment! we got to go to Bucuresti on Sunday for a district conference then we headed back the next morning to hear from ELDER COOK! and elder Sabin! I got to shake his hand! and he looked into my eyes and i felt so loved and grateful for my service. the spirit was so strong there, i had the chills the whole time! elder Sabin talked about how we need to start our new mission today! to get a fresh new start and keep up the good work. and success: doing your best. we cant control the wind but we can set the sails! elder cook talked about how important the first two lessons are for investigators. and that here we are planting and harvesting! i also loved the words that he said at the end " what you are doing right now will bless the lives of all those that you love" so true. i have felt that on my 9 month journey as a missionary and i will continue to feel that okay so what i said earlier in this email is a lie, i would serve a lifetime as a missionary! and the great news about that is, is that i can! and i will! and you can too! you can all be missionaries everyday. start your new mission today, just like elder Sabin told us! my mtc group! one year ago i was crying cause i would be going to a place i knew that i needed to be and looky now i'm here! hump day! celebration for 9 month. was so good fyi
what a week full of a lot of missionary work! so we had zone conference on Tuesday, and it was so uplifting, we talked about a lot of the key aspects of missionary work and how we can be diligent in our efforts to help others come unto Christ. it motivated me to be even better and i have seen from working hard you see many little miracles. then on Wednesday we had our exchange and i was with Sora Madsen and Sora Ebert. twas fun, i had a goal to have 30 conversations in a day and we worked so hard to do it and we did! it was so fun talking to so many people in Buch that city is full of so many people! worked hard and had fun! we had two days in Ploiesti this week and they were full of lessons with our investigators. we were able to have a super dope one of the best lessons on my mission on Friday. it was with these two boys named Vlad and Viorel. both the same age as me and sora smith, kinda weird. but anyways they came to English and wanted to do personal English lessons with us to get extra help. we planned( for the gospel part) to be about the book of Mormon, and just do a into to what we do as missionaries and how we do our lessons with people. ( how to begin teaching) and then one question that Viorel had switched it into us teaching the restoration! we had a member with us who was a big help and he was able to share his testimony with the boys that " yeah maybe its super different stuff that these sisters are talking about but just try it and then you will start to be able to understand more" basically a golden lessons! we hope that the boys start progressing more and more! there they coolest dudes! and they used the dumneavoastra form with us! which means they have a high respect for us! yeet! Monika is the old lady that i taught i Brasov and she got baptized on Saturday! literally there in Brasov for 3ish hours but it was the best 3 hours ever. we went to the center and its just as beautiful as ever and we then went to the church and i got to see all the incredible members that i didn't have a chance to say goodbye to. it was a day to remember. and wowowowoowwo Monika was so happy! paul is her husband and he was against her being baptized, but his heart has softened a lot, and he came and so did monikas daughter! such a special day for them! how gypsies get around thumbs up comp pic!
this week we had 3 missionaries in our mission go home for medical issues. super sad, but its all in the lords time! and with 3 missionaries gone that means that we have just me and sora smith is ploiesti right now for 4 weeks till the transfer ends. we got a whole lot busier! we went to buch for the doctor real quick this week and we had a lot of people come to our English class, which was a blessing! right when we felt that we had no one to teach, things just starting popping out of the wood works and BAM a miracle and now we got a lot of people! i love being a missionary, so many wonderful things happen, all the time, miracles left and right, and the best thing is, is that we get to witness all of them! gotta go! but i love you all! super stoked about what was said in general conference! the times are coming, the lord is hastening his work and the changes are good and necessary! what a lot of the train stations look like! train ride to Bucharest general conf! don't worry we had lots of good snacks! buch selfie!
xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo sora lowther so September flew by real quick! this week was the same old same old. just like last week. but wait for the next coming weeks i will have more awesome things to talk about so just hold on till next p-day we had a lesson with our only progressing investigator this week. her name is ștefi. we got some advice to write a legit permission slip for her parents to know what were actually doing here, and so we did and it the first legit Romanian document i have written on my mission. pretty proud of me and sora smith! heheh we just got the preach my gospel in Romanian and took stuff from that and switched and added a few things BUT STILL it was pretty legit and super mega frumos. so currently she has the paper and were going to see what happens next! this week i started reading 'our search for happiness' book by one of the apostles. ha i forgot who... so it was talking about how we need to enjoy our life here and how we need to make the most of life. i was pondering that and thinking how i can apply that in my life. and i think as a missionary, i can obviously share the message of pure happiness, but i can also show it. i want to be more happier and enjoy every moment i get to have here in the beautiful country of Romania! there is always goodness all around us and as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Biserica Lui Isus Hristos A Sfintilor Din Zilele Din Urma) were so sosososososo blessed to be apart of something that will bring us eternal joy in the eternities! church is true! biserica e adevarata! cu drag, sora lowther familia shurtleff leaving. they're the missionary couple that have been coming to ploiesti for church. there awesome! so sad that they're leaving! hehe elder shurtleff looks so happpy!
