I ATE MCDONALDS!!!
i know your all laughing but those of you that know my parents you can ask them what there guesses were. i havent eaten mcdonalds for 2 1/2 years cause its straight up nasty but i had no other choice this past week but to eat it. and my family betted that i would eat is before my 6th month mark and i failed! i ate it before my 6th month mark! how sad! something i loved during my studies this week is that everytime i teach or read something about the restoration of the church of jesus christ, it makes my testimony grow 10% more everytime. this week i was reading joseph smith history and my testimony grew! i love being here and growing like a wild bush, growing in places i didnt think i would need to grow. but here i am still growing err day! it rained like everyday this week and its been getting cold! doesnt make sense but its been a nice break from the hot humid weather! #blessed! we had exchanges this week and i was with sora ebert! shes super cute! it was her 1 year mark during our exchange so we celebrated by getting covrigi! we also had soras from iasi come for an exchange and it was so fun to see them and to hear how iasi is doing! since our mission is changing we are having a 7 week transfer and for the next 7 weeks im going to be in a trio with sora selander and sora quigley! super excited! going to be an adventure! well my pics wont work this week but next week will be filled with dopee pics! love you all have a great week! sora lowther

ha punny! we did an English fast this week and it was actually not that bad at all. i thought i was going to die and not ever want to speak Romanian again but now its hard not to speak Romanian lol this week weather wise was rain basically every day, but that's okay the rain here is super awesome and it makes the mountains look beautiful! also.... i want to know about all you newbie soon to be missionaries! i want to hear where your going in the world! so nothing super exciting happened this week, besides the same old same old missionary work. visiting members and meeting up with new people and going to slujba and talking to a lot of people and making mistakes and learning from them. yeah my week in a sentence. but i do want to share a really cool experience that i had during slujba aka church slujba= church service=my fave word in Romanian HA okay so the average amount of people that come to slujba is about 30 people and it fluctuates every week. last week was 47 and this week was 35. anyways i was sitting in the back of the chapel and i was letting my mind wander off into random thoughts for a sec and i thought about church at home and how we have so many families and have so many youth and children. and i then got my thoughts back together and i looked around the chapel here in Brasov Romania and i started tearing up. i started tearing up cause i had like a 'that's so raven' kind of moment where i could see this chapel (that could fit at least 100+ people in it ) being filled with so many people and how every seat will be filled. one day. and i started tearing up because i am apart of this pioneering moment in Romania. side note: every branch in Romania is like this btw. we watched the video of president nelson that he addressed to the youth for our district meeting and i loved that he said that we need to be apart of this great cause of gathering Israel. i love being here and being motivated to find people to help our branch grow. i do want to say that my mission isn't perfect, i still have a long of things to learn and i have fallen a lot while learning and i have been trying my best and, i'm not a perfect missionary and i never will be but i am learning along the way and being a missionary is the best experience to be apart of! ah! i love you all so much! have a great week! monika, the lady that asked for the back rub! ha! me and sora selanders double take Polaroid! uite! liahona!
ha inside joke!^^ this week was crazy here in Brasov it rained a ton and i've been soaked 2 times this week from the rain cause were just never prepared! ah! one day will have all the rain gear when it actually rains! something super awesome that happened this week was we had 4 investigators at church!!!! it was so awesome! i felt such a love for them while they were there! we had doru and andra. doru is the dad and hes super cool! and andra is the daughter shes super cute and shes really smart and really loves the missionaries! bonus! nicol is the girl that is going to Boston for the summer she came with her friend that is investigation the church too! and this super cute old lady names monika, currently we have 3 monika investigatos and 3 andreea's lol! anyways, monika is this old lady who literally has no one, she doesn't have kids of a husband that are living. her life is sad but she still laughs at a lot of things. funny side story: sora selander asked her if she needed anything for us to do before we left. and she just turned around in her swivel chair and asked for a neck massage! ha i tried not to laugh, that funny part was that she was really serious! ha! we also went out to the country to visit our investigator, the other monika! we went to out her house in Crizbav to go and talk to her husband so he could be on board with her baptism! we think it went super well! it was a bonus for us cause the country side in Brasov is so beautiful! well i'm running out of time but this week was really good still learning a lot everyday! love sora lowther! monika! 7 stairs hike for pday! so beautiful!
This was a sweet surprise at church one Sunday! A family from Draper was visiting in Brasov and sent this to us. " Saw your daughter at sacrament today, she is doing well! Only sisters in the branch and they are doing a great job. They all seemed to speak very well and they seemed comfortable and confident. Sora Lowther said they were the nicest family and their son helped pass the sacrament that day too.
this week we had a mission conference in Bucharest. elder de feo from the seventy was there and he answered a lot of my questions and some questions i really didn't know i had were answered! he was really inspired, and i just loved everything he had to say! also this week we had a golden investigator moment. we had this lesson with this girl named nicol. my cute MTC comp, sora wallace, found her on the street. sora wallace was comps with sora selander before me. nicol was the cutest girl and she really was amazing and really had the spirit with her when we taught her the restoration lesson. she was like "wow, i can just feel that this isn't just a legend its a true story" LIKE WHAT NOW ONE SAYS THAT! we asked her to be baptized and she said yes! ah man you just had to be there it was like a moment in the movies (the district) for us! the thing is shes going to Boston, Massachusetts to stay there this summer. so hopefully we can get her to meet up with the missionaries there. super mega bonus cause i have friends serving in that mission! on the first of this month i realized that i graduated high school 1 year ago! like what time flies so dang fast! i feel like that happened like 2 months ago! wowowza! also congrats to all the newly graduated people! #holla! we have this investigator named geanina shes super cute and she has blonde curly hair like me. we went over to her house and had a lesson with her and she made homemade potato chips and they were so good! after our lesson with her she said that me and her must have met in heaven cause we both have the same hair! how dope! she also came to church and i sat next to her and she kept saying in English '"my sister" ha! we also have this cute old lady investigator named monika. shes Hungarian. she had a baptismal date and she was almost ready to enter into the water, then her husband told her to wait to be baptized. so we've been working on that with her and also helping her friend receive all the lessons as well! monika says every time we come over that shes our mom here, ha! shes the cutest old lady! i love her! ah man what a week! i love being here and growing and learning everyday! i'm glad i have this opportunity to be here and to have an abnormal life, and only having god to rely on to help me help his children come unto him. have a good first week of summer! love you all!!! sora lowther
