si got a lot of pictures, so get ready for that! this past monday we went to draculas castle (bran castle) and it was super fun, a little rainy and it was fun to be with other sister. i was able to go to bran castle last year with the sisters that i was serving with and then this time, i had dejavu! wowowowowowow this week we had a baptism. it was dalia and cosmina! they were found by other sisters and the mom actually approached the sisters and then we were privileged to teach them! they accepted everything so easy and they were very teachable, they were so willing to learn and to change. im so grateful to be apart of this life changing event. it was pouring rain before the baptism and we didn't have umbrellas, we are never prepared for the weather when we should be.... but we were close to the church, like 2 min walk. and while running it would be faster, right? asa that's how i thought. then we ran and man we got baptized before the two girls did!!! hahaha we were so soaked and still soaked when the baptism service was over. the light of Christ entered more into their eyes when they got out of the water, they were so happy and giddy! the spirit was so sweet, it was such a simple ceremony.
the confirmation was so special, they didn't come until we started the sacrament, but they got here and they were able to be confirmed and that was so special, they were promised beautiful blessings! and then they were welcomed into the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints!!!!! every day this past weekend we had a activity! thursday: games night, a big huge turn out!!! friday: young girls night at the senior couples house and it was so fun and also a big turn out saturday: baptism!!!! and sunday: confirmation!!!!! and a good lessons at the sandus house to start there new convert lessons! what a great life it is to be a missionary! enjoy the pics! this week was a crazy all over the place, we did a lot of different missionary work. we were gone in Bucharest for mlc and we were gone all day, we left at 5:00 am and then we got home at 8:30 pm. what a great day filled of great inspiration. i was able to receive a lot of revelation. i am going to start reading the Book of Mormon in romanian again. i read the whole book and i finished it on my one year mark. and i am now i am going to start it again. i am so grateful that i can speak this language and understand it more and more everyday. i am so grateful for the leaders in this mission and that i can be apart of this leadership. THIS MISSION IS THE BEST MISSION ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH! i know that the savior is real. and that he lives. i know that you can never deny spiritual impressions. spiritual impressions is the thing that started to get me on my mission, and what has lead me while i've been out here and also the thing that will help me for the rest of my life! im so grateful for this opportunity to be a missionary and for the fact that i get to serve the lord and help others become converted unto Christ! i love you all! dalia! shes so cute! she is getting baptized this weekend! a real romanian train! i've started to say goodbye to some missionary buds! and sora dayton, my comp from ploiesti! we have been sweating tot timpul in our apartment, its hotter in our apartment than it is in outside. but we bought fans and we put it together. as you can see sora collins doing a good job. and wow it felt so good! but still hot! lol sora lowther pics
what a weeeeeK! so we started the week just like a normal one then one Wednesday, super early like 4:30 early we went to the train station to take a train to bucuresti to go with sora james and then come back with our new comp to add to our trio, sora thompson!!!! we then headed back to brasov, then we spent the rest of the day getting phones and getting it all figured out! wwowowowo technology i forgot what that stuff is! then we had planned for a normal Thursday, yah know weekly planning then we went outside for a good run, then we started to study, i moved my stuff to where out old comp that just went home, sora james, studied. then i saw that she left her passport, so we got ready as fast as possible and took the next train to bucuresti! 3 hours there and back! it was an adventure but dont you worry we taught the girl we were next to the plan of salvation, she didnt believe in God and she had way a lot of questions! but we just invited her to pray and to ask God if he really exists! the trio life is so good! i feel like im in the same trio that i was in when i served in brasov last time! wowowowowowowwo things have changed, i have changed, and i have become more how i dreamed of being at the end of my mission. its not over yet i still got a few weeks left to keep changing and changing the lives of others! keep the sandu family in your prayers, we are hoping that the girls will be baptized this upcoming saturday! walking/playing soccer on the way to the bus stop! tarlungeni
this week was a good one. every week i realized more and more how the lords hand is in this work. we were exactly where we needed to be this week! we were able to see people on the street that we havent been able to contact for a couple of weeks, and a cool story!!!!! before i left brasov the first time i was able to meet this wonderful lady from bulgaria named daisy and she was so amazed when we taught her the restoration and then when i got back to brasov i asked the sisters what happened to her. and she stop responding! and so i was a little sad, but then on the street at the bus stop i was able to see her!!!!! and we switched numbers and hopefully we will meet up this week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this week we met with our missionary leader and he is such a humble man and he is willing to help us in this work! and this work is working! we have 5 baptismal dates now! and we are so excited for the salvation on souls that will be happening here in brasov! miracles happen every where! i am so blessed to be a missionary in this city and right now in this time in my life, hands down the best decision i have ever made in my whole life! yahhhhhh missionary work! familia sandu! classic selfie! oh man i love this family!
keep them in your prayers! sora lowther |
